D-Max 40 Series from 2020

Isuzu's latest generation of D-Max hit our shores in 2020 and was an instant hit. This car has great features and is a strong package for towing and off-road work. With the addition of a Lovells GVM/GCM Upgrade it's even more capable with 500Kg more payload capacity for setting up your rig with plenty of accessories and still towing your big van or boat.

TWO GCM OPTIONS:- 6200 or 6900 - which one is right for me?

Through their rigorous testing Lovells discovered that the D-Max - under severe conditions such as very long hill climbs - can begin to overheat and reduce power. Lovells have therefore created two versions of the GCM Upgrade kit focussed towards differing customer needs.

Kit 1: 6200Kg GCM is geared towards customers who will primarily be using the GVM Upgrade to offset weight on their vehicle and mostly only tow moderate loads.

Kit 2: 6900Kg GCM is aimed at customers who are regularly towing big loads in hilly terrain and also have accessories on the car. This kit also includes a larger engine radiator for better cooling when the going gets tough. Add a transmission cooler for even greater peace of mind (optional extra at additional cost).

What else do I need to know?

With a GVM above 3600Kg the D-Max must be fitted with a special type of side indicator called a CAT6. These will be added to the side of your car unless you have some Next-Gen Clearview mirrors in which case those can be upgraded to include a CAT6 indicator.
